The Conjuring has found a new streaming home in the UK.

The 2013 horror movie and its 2016 sequel, The Conjuring 2, have both been added to Netflix in the UK and Ireland.

Directed by James Wan, The Conjuring stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who help out a large family that has moved into a haunted farmhouse.

The film's sequel sees the Warrens travel to England to assist the Hodgson family, who are experiencing poltergeist activity at their Enfield council house in 1977.

This was followed by The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It in 2021, which follows Ed and Lorraine as they investigate the case of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, who claims to have been under demonic possession when he murdered his landlord.

Michael Chaves is directing from a script by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who co-wrote The Conjuring 3 with franchise creator James Wan. Wan will produce alongside Peter Safran.

While specific plot details are being kept under wraps for the time being, Wan previously hinted that the film would tie up Ed and Lorraine Warren's story.

Discussing the latest instalment's progress in 2023, he said: "We are working on it right now. With the Conjuring films, we are very precious about [them].

"And so we kind of want to just take our time to make sure we get it right and to make sure the emotion of the Warren stories that we want to tell, and moving into, and potentially wrapping up, we just want to make sure that it's the right thing, the right story that we're telling."

The Conjuring 4 is released in cinemas on September 5, 2025.
