Charlize Theron is in line to join Christopher Nolan's latest star-studded project.
Theron, who has starred in the Mad Max and Fast & Furious franchises, is the latest name to join Nolan's follow-up to Oppenheimer, Deadline reports.
Theron joins the previously-announced Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o and Robert Pattinson in the project, which is currently slated for a summer 2026 release date.
Nolan's new movie doesn't currently have an official title or any confirmed plot details.

Holland, who is best known for his role as Peter Parker in Marvel's Spider-Man series, recently spoke about the casting process for the film – describing working with Nolan as a major career aspiration.

"When the opportunity came in, it was the phone call of a lifetime," he said. "[It was] reminiscent of getting that call about Spider-Man 10 years ago.
"It's an amazing thing for me. I'm super proud and I'm really, really excited."
Holland hasn't given anything away about the nature of the film, adding: "All I can say is that I'm incredibly excited and obviously honoured, but that's all I can say because to be honest that's really all I know."
Whilst Theron's role in Nolan's film may be unknown, she recently spoke about the delayed sequel to The Old Guard – sharing that there's been movement on the long-gestating second movie.

"We got kind of stuck in that and our post-production shut down, I think, five weeks into it," she said. "They were going through a lot of changes, and I totally understand it.
"We finally picked it back up and I'm really excited about it.
"It's a really important film to us. I only wanted to do it if we could make it amazing. I really love this movie," she continued, adding that the sequel is "really good".
Christopher Nolan's next film is scheduled to be released on July 17, 2026.
