Deadpool is to start filming in Vancouver in March.
The Ryan Reynolds-starring movie will be the latest film to shoot in the Canadian city after the likes of X Men: Days Of Future Past located there, Global News reports.
Tim Miller is directing the movie with producer Simon Kinberg saying the character will tie in with the other X Men films.
He said: "There's definitely a sort of overall plan that we've all been talking about for the X-Men universe now and Deadpool obviously fits into that."
Meanwhile, Marvel Comics recently revealed that Deadpool will be killed off in April's issue #250.
The comic will mark the end of the series.
Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively recently welcomed their first child together, but the sex hasn't been announced yet.
