Richard Osman's new murder mystery novel We Solve Murders is available to buy now.
The Pointless star and author of the best-selling franchise The Thursday Murder Club has penned a new book – released today (September 11) – that is the first in a new crime book series.
We Solve Murders introduces readers to Amy and Steve Wheeler, a new father-and-daughter-in-law detective duo who are in a race to catch a killer following the discovery of a dead body.

Osman teased his latest book in an interview on This Morning in February, where he confirmed plans for a screen adaptation of the book by Netflix – who are also involved in the upcoming The Thursday Murder Club movie starring Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.
"We Solve Murders is the name of the book," he said at the time. "It's out in September; it's a brand-new series.

The Telegraph awarded We Solve Murders four stars in their review, with The Guardian equally calling the book a "delightful read" that makes for a perfect Autumnal read.
"The plot might get a little meandering, and I’m not sure I cared all that much about discovering the identity of the main villain, but that doesn’t matter, because it’s so much fun travelling the world with Amy, Steve and the fantastic Rosie," writes The Guardian's Alison Flood.
We Solve Murders currently holds a Goodreads rating of 4.2 stars on the book aggregator site.
The full book synopsis reads: "Steve Wheeler is enjoying retired life. He does the odd bit of investigation work, but he prefers his familiar habits and routines: the pub quiz, his favourite bench, his cat waiting for him when he comes home. His days of adventure are over: adrenaline is daughter-in-law Amy’s business now.

The Thursday Murder Club is yet to confirm a cinema release date. The book and its sequels are available to buy on Amazon.
