Netflix has dropped a first-look photo of The Thursday Murder Club cast to confirm the start of production.
Richard Osman's much-loved book series is being given the big screen treatment, with the all-star cast including Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Sir Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie.
The four leads are seen dressed in character in the first-look photo, gathered around Osman on what appears to be the set of the retirement home's games room – where the characters meet up every Thursday to solve cases.

The Thursday Murder Club movie started filming on June 27, with Osman sharing a set photo at the time. This, however, marks the first time audiences have seen the movie's cast in costume.
Other cast members include David Tennant, Naomi Ackie, Jonathan Pryce, Richard E Grant, Danny Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Sarah Niles.
We know Pryce is playing Elizabeth's husband Stephen and that Grant is playing a "baddie". Meanwhile, Ackie is playing Donna and Niles is playing Donna's mother Patrice, but the other roles are being kept under wraps for now.

Just this week, Osman revealed that his wife Ingrid Oliver has also secured a role in the upcoming Netflix movie, playing Joyce's daughter Joanna.
Sharing the news on the latest episode of The Rest Is Entertainment podcast, Osman said that the role was "not my idea... but Chris Columbus's idea".
Lucifer star Tom Ellis, Geoff Bell and Paul Freeman are three other names attached to the project, though these were announced by Deadline rather than Osman himself.
The Thursday Murder Club is the first of Osman's crime series released in 2020. The story follows four pensioners at the Coopers Chase Retirement Village in Kent as they investigate the murder of a property developer.
The Thursday Murder Club movie does not yet have a release date.
