But once you dive into the deep bookshelf on offer at Audible, you might be divided on what to spend your many hours of listening time on. We at Digital Spy have done the hard yards for you and compiled a list of the great and the good up for grabs.

Audible audiobooks don't get much more prestige than this joint DC production of Neil Gaiman's smash graphic novel The Sandman.

With X-Men: First Class's James McAvoy as the immortal Lord Morpheus, as well as Riz Ahmed, Kat Dennings and Taron Egerton, this is an impressively starry ensemble cast to fill your ears.

Also, for Good Omens fans, there's a fun twist on that casting here as Michael Sheen plays Lucifer, confronting Morpheus in Hell. You can't go wrong with this one. It's one of the most popular audiobooks the platform has ever produced, with good reason.

Slayers: A Buffyverse Story

Slayers: A Buffyverse Story

This one is special, as the audiobook reunites several cast members from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV classic.

Set 20 years on from the show’s dramatic finale at the high-school Hellmouth, Audible’s Slayers: A Buffyverse Story follows the antics of Spike.

James Marsters is back as everyone’s favourite bleached-blond bad boy, alongside a stacked cast of Sunnydale fan favourites. There's Anthony Head as Giles, Charisma Carpenter as Cordelia, Juliet Landau as Drusilla and Emma Caulfield as Anya.

But wait, there's more! Also back are Amber Benson as Tara, James Charles Leary as Clem and Danny Strong as Jonathan, as well as Buffyverse newcomer Laya DeLeon Hayes as a new Slayer.

The fan service play is made all the better by the stellar vocal performances across the board. Let's hope there's more coming.

I'm Glad My Mom Died

I'm Glad My Mom Died

If the title wasn't indication enough, Jennette McCurdy's memoir I'm Glad My Mom Died doesn't hold back.

The frank bestseller tells the story of the former child actor's family dysfunction, abuse and disordered eating while starring in the Nickelodeon hits iCarly and Sam & Cat.

After she lost her mother to cancer, the book details how McCurdy took back control of her life, with equal parts candour and dark humour.

The hype here is well worth it and who better to hear the memoir from but read by McCurdy herself in this audiobook.

The Woman in Me

The Woman in Me

From one hugely popular celebrity memoir to another, Britney Spears finally shares her story after being released from an oppressive conservatorship with the help of the Free Britney movement.

The long-awaited memoir is narrated by Hollywood A-list Michelle Williams, as Britney pulls back the curtain on the unfathomable pressures facing female performers in pop music.

The details of what unfolded in Britney's private life while under intense tabloid scrutiny are shocking and heartbreaking.

As one reviewer on Audible wrote, the book is "a transformative read that will leave any woman even more passionate about preserving our rights in this world". It will leave you seeing Britney in a completely different light.

Who better to write a whodunnit than Britain’s best-known criminal barrister, Judge Rinder?

This courtroom drama, aptly titled The Trial, will keep you guessing, as barrister-in-training Adam Green suddenly has to defend someone suspected of poisoning a policeman.

If you're still hooked at the end, the good news is that Rob Rinder has a follow-up novel with more of Adam Green on the way.

Most probably know comedian Tom Allen from his TV appearances, particularly if you're a big fan of The Apprentice.

His memoir No Shame – which he reads for the Audible version –sees him delve back into his childhood years to recount coming out, self-hatred in his teens – when one of his coping mechanisms was to pretend to be an Edwardian aristocrat – and finally finding his way as one of the best dressed men in showbiz.

As one of the many rave Audible reviewers writes of the book: "It’s really helped me live less inside my head if that makes sense.

"Thanks for sharing your experiences in such an open and honest way. I feel this will help so many LGBTQ+ people and I hope lots of people listen/read it."

The biggest and best sell for this audiobook is that it's narrated by Bridgerton's very own Claudia Jessie, who plays snarky feminist queen Eloise.

If you didn't know Jessie was doing a superb posh RP accent in the Regency hit, you can finally hear her very own Brummie voice. The Rebound is a love triangle rom-com with a scoop of enemies-to-lovers in the mix.

If the rave reviews on Audible weren't enough to go by, did we mention it's narrated by Claudia Jessie?

We know that Dune 3 is coming to our screens at some point, but it could be some while yet.

So in the meantime we can either rewatch the first two films or finally read the epic tome that is the Dune book.

Written by the late Frank Herbert, the epic comes in at a chaste 21 hrs and two mins runtime on Audible, with a wide-ranging cast to narrate the many characters of the modern sci-fi classic.

The self-care and grooming pro talks years of judgment and trauma while growing up in the Midwest, unsure why he didn't fit in.

JVN narrates his own story in this audiobook, which charts a journey to self-love and acceptance and will show fans of the Netflix hit a whole new side to a beloved queer icon.
