The Bear's Ayo Edebiri has signed on to star in upcoming thriller After the Hunt.
According to Deadline, the actor, known for playing Sydney in the hit series, will appear alongside Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield in the new movie, which is being directed by Lucas Guadagnino (of Challengers and Call Me by Your Name fame).
Details of Edebiri's role are yet to be shared, but it's thought she'll be a part of the supporting cast, with Roberts set to play the film's protagonist.

After the Hunt is being teased as a dramatic thriller following a college professor (Roberts), whose life falls apart after a pupil makes a formal accusation against one of her colleagues (Garfield).
The script has been penned by actor and writer Nora Garrett. The film is billed as an Amazon MGM Studios production.

Edebiri is set to star alongside John Malkovich in new horror Opus, and she has a role in upcoming sequel Inside Out 2. The Bottoms star will also reprise her role in The Bear season three, which drops in June.

Edebiri most recently appeared on the big screen in The Sweet East, described by Deputy Movies Editor Mireia Mullor as "Alice in Wonderland meets Woodstock" in our 4-star review.
The film follows a high school senior from South Carolina who gets her first experience of the wider world during a class trip to Washington, D.C. Talia Ryder of West Side Story fame plays the lead.
Sci-fi drama Omni Loop, which also stars Edebiri, was released in March to rave reviews and has retained its 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating.
There is currently no release date for After the Hunt. The Bear season three has a US release date of June 27.
