Mindhunter and The Umbrella Academy star Cameron Britton and The Fault in Our Stars and Orange is the New Black star Mike Birbiglia have joined Tom Hanks' new movie.

As reported by Deadline, the duo have been added to the cast of A Man Named Otto, which sees Hanks as an elderly widower who loves to judge people but who's heart slowly melts when a young, pregnant woman moves in next door with her family and proves to be a match for his quick wit.

The movie is based on the incredibly popular Swedish novel A Man Named Ove, which has sold 77 million copies worldwide (in different languages, of course) and was previously adapted into a successful Swedish film. As you can tell by the name change, this adaption has changed to be set in America.

In the United States at least, Sony Pictures will release the film in cinemas on December 25 – a heartwarming Tom Hanks film coming out at Christmas time, it just makes sense.

Last year, the legendary actor revealed that, despite him being one of Hollywood's most bankable stars, he's never been approached to be in a Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

"Here's the problem. First of all, they've never called me once. Nope, nope, never," said the Catch Me if You Can actor.
