Nik Dodani and Brandon Flynn are set to team up for new supernatural comedy The Parenting.
Alongside the Atypical and 13 Reasons Why actors, the HBO Max series will also star quite a huge cast including Succession's Brian Cox, The Sopranos actress Edie Falco, Friends legend Lisa Kudrow and Breaking Bad star Dean Norris.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script follows young gay couple Rohan and Josh as their parents meet for the first time on what is supposed to be an idyllic weekend in the country.

Dodani and Flynn will take on the lead roles, while Cox and Falco will play a couple and Norris and Kudrow will play the other set of parents.
Dodani was one of the stars of Netflix comedy Atypical and he has also appeared in the movie musical version of Dear Evan Hansen and CBS's Murphy Brown.
After his breakout role in the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, Flynn appeared in the critically acclaimed series Ratched on the streaming platform alongside Sarah Paulson. Flynn is also set to star in David Bruckner's reboot of Hellraiser for Hulu.

The Parenting will be written by Kent Sublette – known for his work on Saturday Night Live – and directed by Craig Johnson. Johnson is known for The Skeleton Twins (2014), True Adolescents (2009) and Alex Strangelove (2018)
Shooting will begin on the star-studded movie later this month in Massachusetts, but a release date is yet to be announced by HBO Max.
