Mulan's live-action remake may not have Mushu or the songs, but it does have one standout cameo from the original star of the animated film.
Ming-Na Wen – who recently wrapped up a seven-season run on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD – voiced the title character in 1998's Mulan. More than 20 years later, she makes a brief appearance in the Disney+ film in a sweet moment.

After Mulan (this time played by Liu Yifei) saves the Emperor of China and defeats Bori Khan, she is invited to the Emperor's palace.
Ming-Na, 'Esteemed Guest' according to the credits, approaches the Emperor and introduces Yifei's Mulan.
"Your Imperial Highness. Hua Mulan," she says, before walking away and letting Mulan take centre stage.

Not only that, but Ming-Na's daughter Michaela also makes an appearance in the same scene.
Insider confirms that one of the guests who reacts with shock when Mulan declines the Emperor's offer to join his guard is played by Michaela.
Mulan returns home to her family, and the closing moments see the Emperor's commander paying a visit, presenting Mulan with a special gift – a new sword – and then asking her to reconsider the Emperor's offer.
Of Ming-Na's cameo, cinematographer Mandy Walker said: "She was really lovely, and I thought it was a beautiful gesture to have her in the movie.
"I think that was the idea – not to make it too broad an announcement, but for people to pick up on it."
Mulan is available exclusively to Disney+ subscribers in selected countries. Premier Access to the movie is priced at £19.99 in the UK and $29.99 in the US.
