The New Mutants has had its new release date revealed once again.
The X-Men spin-off has had a rocky road to the big screen, with it originally meant to release in April 2018. There were delays, reworks, the Disney/Fox buyout, and then... just when it looked it was finally coming out, the current pandemic turned the entire world down.
Now the film has another new, potentially final, release date, and it's still headed to the cinemas, despite some projects bypassing the cinema and heading straight to Disney+.
As the film's new poster reveals, the film is now set for an August 28 release.
It's also releasing under the 20th Century Studios label, not the Walt Disney Pictures one, which is good because it was originally made under Fox.
The film's screenwriter Kante Lee previously defended the delays, stating that it would have been worse if the release was closer to some of the big superhero blockbusters.

"It feels like the perfect time for a superhero movie that's more intimate and claustrophobic," she said while speaking to Empire Magazine.
"And we still have so many 'firsts': we're the first Marvel horror, we're the first to feature a gay relationship. Even though we're late… we still beat everybody."
Star Maisie Williams talked about being disappointed by the bad reputation the film has gained over the years, while director Josh Boone has said that "things can go only up" after Dark Phoenix released to negative critical reception and underwhelming box office returns.
The New Mutants will be released in cinemas on August 28.
