Many gamers were left devastated by the cancellation of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro's Silent Hills earlier this year.
But nobody was more disappointed than star Norman Reedus.
The Walking Dead actor spoke about the horror game in an interview with IGN, saying that a collaboration with the pair can and needs to happen.
"I'm super bummed that that happened back in Japan, but I have faith," said Reedus. "I have faith that we, the three of us, can do something else."
Calling both Kojima and del Toro "geniuses", the actor added: "There were so many ideas and cool future happenings that were thrown around. I just can't see us not picking this up somewhere.
"I have faith that we're going to do something because it just seems like it was one of those things that needs to happen. It's like destiny, it needs to happen."

Publisher Konami confirmed in April that Silent Hills was no longer in development and has since pulled the game's PT demo from the PlayStation Store.
Silent Hills isn't the first project that has slipped from del Toro's hands. Earlier this year, he departed DC Comics' movie adaptation of Justice League Dark, due to a clash with filming for Pacific Rim 2. He was also involved in a now abandoned game for THQ.
