Do you want to be a little bit sadder that Silent Hills is never happening? Then read on!
One of the cancelled game's collaborators, Guillermo del Toro, has been speaking with IGN about his involvement with the project, alongside Metal Gear Solid V director Hideo Kojima and Manga artist Junji Ito.
It's light on information, but it's more than we'd otherwise know thanks to Konami's cancellation of the project, so we'll take it.
"We were talking about using the next-generation console in a way that would really surprise people," del Toro explained. "We said, 'Let's really freak out people, let's really cause a panic with Silent Hills - let's go for full-blown social madness'."
Asked if he would collaborate in future with Kojima, del Toro was coy - though full of praise for his "sort of friend".
"Whatever it is, work or not, I consider Kojima-san a master and I have the good fortune of having some sort of friendship or relationship," he added.

"For me the interest is just to interact with like-minded people. The fact he can show me stuff he's working on and I can show him stuff I'm working on, it's enough."
Most importantly, del Toro revealed that Kojima did indeed sing at karaoke, while Ito didn't. Del Toro, of course, sang.
