Capcom has told fans to stay tuned for more information about Resident Evil 7.
The company has mentioned the possibility of a full-blown sequel before, and now producer Masachika Kawata has hinted that it could return to its horror roots.
Speaking to Dengeki PlayStation (via Siliconera), Kawata said that he understands why people believe the series has lost its horror touch.
"Since there's been more spinoff titles, I can see how it can be perceived in such a way," he said.
"And of course I believe that we should produce titles that bring out the horror. I'm thinking about it and also preparing for it."
As for when we might hear more about Resident Evil 7, he said: "We're currently not at a state to talk about it... but please stay tuned."
