It looks like Resident Evil 7 might come with a demo for the Resident Evil 2 Remake.
Capcom may have hidden a clue regarding the Resident Evil 2 Remake demo within the code for the recently released Resident Evil 7 teaser (via NeoGAF).
A seemingly random set of numbers appear in a loading screen, and they are actually the same as the product ID for the old Resident Evil Director's Cut, specifically the one that came with a Resident Evil 2 demo.
It's a pretty elaborate theory, but then that Destiny 'Rise of Iron' release date theory ended up being true, and that really was bizarre.
PS Plus members can try the Resident Evil 7 demo for themselves by visiting the PSN store. The full game will be available on PS4 (and PlayStation VR), Xbox One and PC next January.
Resident Evil 7 had been tipped for an E3 reveal by the CEO of video game consultancy firm Kantan Games.
