It looks like there's going to be a new contender in the VR market, as there are apparently games in the works for an Xbox One virtual reality headset.
This news comes via Ars Techinca, who claim a major European developer is creating a VR game to release on Xbox One in 2017.

The information comes from both the developer and its PR rep, who revealed the information in their pre-E3 plans. The game will take place in the universe of an established, long-running franchise and is also planned to come to PS4 and PC.
This doesn't necessarily mean Microsoft is making a headset, though - it could just be the heavily-rumoured new Xbox One model is compatible with headsets like the Oculus Rift.
Going off the minimum needed specs for the Rift on PC, that would mean the new Xbox One will be a powerful console indeed, with a GPU at least as powerful as a GTX 970 - a card capable of maxing out most current PC games at 1080p.
This would line up with recent rumours that suggest a new, Oculus Rift-supporting Xbox One will release in 2017. According to reports, the new Xbox One will be almost six times more powerful than an Xbox One.
