Debra Messing may be known as a comedy icon to many for her leading role in Will & Grace, but early on in her career, she was at the mercy of TV executives who wanted to sex her up.

Appearing alongside Basic Instinct actress Sharon Stone in Variety's 'Actors on Actors' series, Messing revealed: "I had to wear fake boobs when I first started in Hollywood on my first sitcom.

"They gave me the cutlets, and I had just graduated from my Master's from NYU and I was like, 'I'm an actress,' and they were like, 'Here.'

"'I look stupid.' I was like, 'I'm not going to wear these,' to which they responded, 'The president of the network called and said he wants you to wear those.'

"I was in shock. I was new to the industry and I just thought, 'I can't say no,' you know?"

Thankfully, Messing doesn't have to put up with that anymore: "Now, no-one comes at me with those things. I'm like, 'I'm flat-chested, I love it.'"

Stone also talked about some of her experiences, like when she was told 'how women should sit' and to wear a dress in a film where her character was meant to be a cowboy.

Debra Messing recently called out E! for not paying their female hosts the same as men... while talking to an E! reporter on the red carpet.
