13 Reasons Why season two has generated plenty of chatter since it launched a few weeks ago.
But how has it done in viewership figures? Well, not as amazingly as you would expect, at least going by figures reported by market research company Nielsen (via Variety).
According to Nielsen, the teen drama averaged 6.08 million viewers in the first three days of its release, with an average minute audience of 2.6 million across its 13 episodes.
Compare that to Netflix behemoth Stranger Things, which averaged 15.8 million for season two in its first three days of release, and it's not looking quite as good.
By further comparison, Will Smith movie Bright also garnered 11 million in its first three days, while recent addition Lost in Space had 6.3 million. Both of those were new projects when they debuted, whereas 13 Reasons Why was an established name.

However, we must take these with a pinch of salt, as Netflix is famously secretive about its figures – it doesn't need to reveal them, after all. Nielsen's figures are also based on internet-connected TVs in the US, excluding computers and mobile devices.
Digital Spy has reached out to Netflix for comment.
As for the critical side of things, season two of 13 Reasons Why has largely failed to impress reviewers since its release earlier this month.
