13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford has revealed that the drama's upcoming second season will explore if Hannah's story really was the whole truth.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other outlets during a set visit, Katherine explained how this season viewers would now get to hear the other sides of Hannah's story, but it doesn't make hers any less honest.

"Speaking as the person who played Hannah and having the information that I have, we told her story in its truth last season," Katherine said.
"And this season, we also tell the truth but different people tell their truths of what happened. It's the way in which it is told that will make you feel a certain way."
Katherine also warned that viewers would also see another side to Hannah.
"This season, her image is destroyed. It's defiled," Katherine said.
"She's deconstructed and she is re-constructed; she is remoulded to present the worst of her and the best of her," she continued.

"You're shown all these different facets of her until it leaves you really wondering who she was."
"One of the craziest things about this season is that you are going to hear things about Hannah that will upset you and surprise you and shock you – but through this journey of hearing these things and feeling certain ways towards her, you'll come to realise that none of it really matters."
But while viewers' feelings about Hannah may change, their feeling towards what happened to her should not.
"No matter who she was; and maybe no matter about some of the things that she might have done, she didn't deserve what happened to her," Katherine added of the character, who died in season one.
"There's definitely a lot to think about, but some of the things we learn about Hannah are presented in a way that will trigger certain responses."
13 Reasons Why's second season debuts on Netflix worldwide on May 18.
