While there have been rumours of a revival circulating about a potential 30 Rock reboot, Tina Fey has set the record straight.
And while she admits that some of the talk has been exaggerated somewhat, the comedy star has not entirely ruled out bringing back Liz Lemon.
"We were on the red carpet for the Broadway opening [of Mean Girls: The Musical]," she recalled of recent comments, on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. "And somebody was like, 'Would you ever do a 30 Rock reboot?' And I was like, 'Maybe'.
"A little bit of that is on me. I must have been so thirsty for internet attention, like 'Maybe'. It's either like say yes to something like that, or I have to walk around CBS wearing Poise pads trying to get in 'Stars They're Just Like Us'. So thirsty for attention.
"Who knows?" she continued. "Robert Carlock and I, we would never do a straight reboot, that would be too easy. I don't know, we'd try to think of a way to do something. We could do a prequel like Muppet Babies, or set in a dystopian future where there's a lot of robot sex.
Fey added: "If we get anything together, I promise you'll be the first to know!"

Talk of a reboot has certainly been rife, especially given the current trend of show revivals such as Will & Grace and Roseanne – something Fey's co-star Jane Krakowski acknowledged recently.
"[A revival] would be a dream come true. We all had the greatest time on that show," she said, revealing "there's definitely been talk and conversations" about bringing it back.
"Right now, [reboots are] the trend, and I would be thrilled if the trend continued over into 30 Rock."
