Next up on the Carpool Karaoke bandwagon are sport stars John Cena and Shaquille O'Neal – and things get competitive.

The wrestling and basketball legends appeared in a new episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series which dropped on Tuesday (September 5), alongside another episode featuring Good Morning America host Michael Strahan and NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon.

While the duo don't do a lot of singing, they do a lot of name-calling. Seriously.

"Black Hercules. The Big Aristotle. Extra Tall-ems. Empire Strikes Shaq" – these are just a few of the names John Cena rattles off in reference to the basketball giant within the first 30 seconds of their exchange.

And when we said there isn't a lot of singing, we meant it, as in this preview clip, Cena admits he isn't much of a singer.

Having heard a few bars, we definitely agree.

"The general perception was that you weren't really that good at the free throw line," Cena teases.

"Fifty percent," he replied. "That's make one, miss one. My motto is, I hit 'em when I need to hit 'em."

Cena then challenged the basketball legend to a free throw competition – but you'll have to watch the episode to see how that ended up.
