Captain Marvel's Brie Larson and Samuel L Jackson have once again proved they're a dream pair.

The Marvel duo have done everything from bonding over hating the same people to recreating Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's Oscars performance.

However, they do put their friendship to the test on a new instalment of Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show with James Corden, where Jackson surprises his co-star with a lie detector test. Gulp.

After singing Ariana Grande's '7 Rings' (it is Carpool Karaoke… you've got to have some music), Jackson welcomes a man with a polygraph to the car, much to Larson's hesitation.

So what do we learn from the test? Well, Larson, who stars as Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel, would not be honest with her co-star if she didn't like his performance in a scene.

Yet she lies about liking Jackson's Kangol hats, and whether she thinks he has a good singing voice.

It's a much easier ride for Jackson, however, who would be honest with Larson if he didn't like her performance in a scene… oh, and he's farted on set before.

Meanwhile, Larson opened up earlier this week about getting to know Jackson, revealing: "He is without a doubt the person I have travelled with the most of any person in my life.

"Our love is real. In the film there are Skrulls, so part of how you know if someone's a Skrull is you ask them personal questions, so we've been rolling pretty deep with that.

"So there's things that only we know. [The questions] deal mostly with people that we hate. We're pretty stealthy about it. We've done three movies together, so there's a lot of people to hate in three movies."

Captain Marvel is out on Friday, March 8 in the US and the UK.
