TV revivals tend to either fail to recapture the spirit of the original (Heroes) or try too hard to be different (Arrested Development). Don't worry, neither of those are the case with Will & Grace.

Here are the particulars for the first official trailer below: Will and Grace are still living together. Jack is still fabulously bitchy. Karen is still drunk. What more do you really need to know?

Any fears that Eric McCormack and Debra Messing would have trouble recapturing the old W&G magic will melt away and you'll think it's 1999 again as you watch their hilarious banter.

In the trailer, Messing says that the cast's goal is simply to make "everybody laugh as hard as we did before, or more". It's safe to assume they'll be living up to those standards.

Will & Grace's writers have taken the bold choice while bringing the show back to completely ignore the melancholic 2006 series finale (which was, frankly, kind of a downer).

When the show picks back up, Will and Grace will not have had kids and definitely will not have been estranged for a decade. Essentially, the show will pick up right where it should have left us 11 years ago.

And if you're excited about the revival season already, we've got news that'll make you happier than Karen tossing back a double shot of Smirnoff. NBC has already ordered a second season, so the laughs will keep on rolling.

Will & Grace will return to NBC in the US on Thursday, September 28 at 9pm ET on NBC.
