Count Riverdale star Shannon Purser among those hoping Sabrina the Teenage Witch will cross paths with Archie and the gang in season two.
Much like Josie and the Pussycats, Sabrina was first introduced in the pages of Archie Comics before she was most famously played by Melissa Joan Hart in her own live-action show.
We've had hints at a supernatural element emerging in Riverdale already, so Digital Spy checked in with Purser — who plays Ethel Muggs — to see if she's keen for Sabrina and her cat Salem to show up at Riverdale High.

"I haven't heard anything official confirming it but I think it would be so cool," she told us. "I'm always interested in the supernatural and it would be so cool to have that element on the show and I'd be really interested to see who would play her.
"I actually haven't seen any of the scripts yet, so I don't really know what we're in for."
What to Read Next
The introduction of the teenage witch might be surprising for some Riverdale viewers, since casual fans often identify Sabrina more with her own TV series than her origins in the comics.
"Some people don't even know that Sabrina is in the Archie family," Riverdale executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa recently admitted.
"Certainly, the priority is launching Riverdale and making sure that the show is as good as it can be and as embraced as we want it to be. I'll just tease that Sabrina has potential with a capital P."
Next up, you can see Purser starring in supernatural horror movie Wish Upon on July 28, where she plays June, a teenager whose best friend messes with a cursed Chinese box which grants her wishes at a terrible price.
"I've always loved scary movies, there's something so fun about being on the edge of your seat in your own home," she said. "It was so much fun. It's funny because it's a scary, serious at times, film, but we goofed off the whole time."
Riverdale returns this autumn on The CW in the US and Netflix in the UK.
