Prison Break showed it meant business in the newest episode of the revival, as it gunned down an original and much-loved character.
Episode 4 'The Prisoner's Dilemma' saw the end of Paul Kellerman – played by Paul Adelstein – as he and T-Bag (Robert Knepper) were both shot by a sniper.
T-Bag, hit on the shoulder, got away, but the former Secret Service agent baddie – who has since turned good – suffered shots to the chest and was helpless as Poseidon's henchman Van Gogh arrived and stood over him.
"I was you once, killing for a lie," Kellerman said.
"Now? You're what, dying for the truth?" Van Gogh retorted.

"It's human nature to find stuff out," Kellerman replied. "So you will, or she will. And then the lie has to kill the truth. Which one of you is going to die tonight?"
Van Gogh promptly shoots Kellerman in the head.
Adelstein admitted that he was sad to see Kellerman die, but was grateful to be able to reprise his character once more.
"No-one knows if there's going to be more Prison Break in general, so while it was disappointing for the character maybe to be dead, it's a cherry on top to even get to go back and do more, so I try not to be too greedy about it," he told Entertainment Weekly.
Creator Paul T Scheuring explained why he killed him off.
"Kellerman was getting too close," he said. "He knew too much at that point, so he needed to die."
That said, devastated fans pointed out that we did not actually see Kellerman's dead body – and that the scene only showed Van Gogh and his silenced pistol in shot when the final, fatal bullet was delivered.
It's a bit of a stretch as Kellerman looked very done, but we have seen Sara and Michael come back from the dead...
