Good news for all Legends of Tomorrow fans out there: the DC Comics series has been given the green light to make more episodes.

As we approach culling season, when shows start to get scared about not bringing in enough viewers or losing momentum, it is nice to hear this CW production is feeling the network's love.

Although the viewing figures could at best be said to have plateaued, and at worst be falling, the channel has increased the second season's episode count from 13 to 17.

In its first season, the Arrow-Flash spin-off averaged 3.16 million, but this has dropped for season two to an average of 2.34 million viewers.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow's will cross over with Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow this autumn on The CW in the US, and we were treated to a picture preview of it this week.

The crossover will bring Supergirl together with Green Arrow, his kid sister Speedy (Willa Holland), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) for the first time.
