A new trailer for the revival of The X-Files debuted on US TV on Monday night (October 12) and it's undoubtedly the coolest one yet.
The smart, animated promo features audio clips from the upcoming episodes, with Cigarette-Smoking Man (William B Davis) uttering halfway through: "They've re-opened the X-Files."

The new series stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as FBI investigators Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, with six episodes to come in total.
The revival will also include appearances from original series stars Mitch Pileggi and Annabeth Gish.
The X-Files returns to Fox on Sunday, January 24. Watch a previous teaser below:
