Break out the orange jumpsuits - Prison Break is officially getting a limited series revival at Fox.
Fox co-chairman Gary Newman broke the news at the TCA press tour today (August 5) that Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller are signed up for new episodes.
Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring is already at work on a storyline that will likely be fast-tracked directly to series.
"I would describe it as a bit of a sequel," Newman's co-chair Dana Walden added. "It picks up with the characters several years after we left them in the show. The brothers will be back.
"Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back. I don't think Paul knows exactly where it's going over the ten-episode arc, but it will address some of the questions from the original show but also appeal to new audiences."
Rumours of a Prison Break revival were first stoked by Fox at the winter TCA press tour at the start of the year.

It wasn't long before Wentworth Miller revealed that he would be willing to reprise his role as mastermind Michael Scofield in a revival of some sort.
Miller and co-star Purcell will also be working together on The Flash this fall as the villainous Rogues, before moving into starring roles in spinoff Legends of Tomorrow next spring.
