The White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood has responded to all the attention her teeth have received since the third season of the HBO drama premiered.

Wood has been praised by many for having 'natural teeth' on the show, rather than Hollywood-style veneers.

Speaking to GQ, the actress said she was happy her teeth were receiving praise but admitted there was 'a limit' to the attention, no matter how positive it is.

"It makes me really happy that it’s symbolising rebellion and freedom, but there’s a limit," Wood said.

"The whole conversation is just about my teeth, and it makes me a bit sad because I'm not getting to talk about my work. They think it’s nice because they’re not criticising.

"And I have to go there… I don’t know if it was a man would we be talking about it this much?" she added. "It’s still going on about a woman’s appearance."

In the show, Wood plays Chelsea, a young girl travelling with her much older boyfriend, played by Walton Goggins.

Speaking to The Sun last month, Wood shared that she was more nervous about filming poolside in a bikini than filming sex scenes.

"I was more worried about just being around the pool because I feel like that's when you're thinking more about how you look," Wood said.

"Whereas . . . in an intimate scene, it’s about the intimacy. But then you just, kind of, have to forget that. You just have to let it go. But that [the bikini scenes] was way scarier to me, actually."

The White Lotus airs on Sky Atlantic and streams on Sky Go and NOW in the UK, with new season 3 episodes every Monday. The show airs on HBO and streams on Max in the US.
