The ABC show stars John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf as part of a working class family struggling to get by following the death of Roseanne – the titular character of the show that The Conners is a spin-off of.
According to TVLine, Lynch will join the cast for the upcoming seventh and final season, playing the family's new lawyer, Jean.

Goodman previously shared his surprise over how many seasons The Conners has had, stating to France 24 English in 2023: "It's lasted longer than I thought we would. It was just supposed to be like an eight-show-and-out thing at one point and they picked us up again and they keep picking us up."
Also in 2023, The Conners boss Bruce Helford explained how star/executive producer Sara Gilbert has been instrumental in pushing for enough time to give the show a proper send-off.
"Sara Gilbert expressed to the network that we don't want to go out without knowing that we are going out with a series finale so we can build to the right ending," he told TVLine.
The Conners airs on ABC in the US, and on Sky Comedy in the UK.
