Yellowjackets spoilers follow.
Yellowjackets stars Tawny Cypress and Lauren Ambrose have dived into their characters Tai and Van's relationship, explaining that the two are "cosmically connected" and not in a good way.
The two fell in love as teenagers during the time they were lost in the wilderness. Although they went their separate ways going into adulthood, they still have feelings for each other.
After recent season 3 dramas, like Van learning her cancer is in remission and their involvement in a waiter's death, they've delved back into the supposedly-supernatural world of the wilderness.

Speaking to Deadline, Cypress warned that Van needs to get away from Tai, although Ambrose feels like that's easier said than done.

"I think that they feed off of each other, the energy," Cypress explained. "If one is maybe not feeling it, the other one is, and it it makes the other one feel it too.
"So, it's actually a terrible relationship. Yes, it is, literally, 'Oh my god. Van needs to run away.'"

"These two women are like cosmically connected," Ambrose added, "through the ages, through time, through trauma, and they need each other. And they need each other to feel alive, I guess."
It's the other way around for the two in the teenage era, as teenage Tai actor Jasmin Savoy Brown told the publication that: "I think that Tai is and will always be charmed by Van, and can be so serious and be so focused, definitely in the wilderness, that the lightness that Van brings and the kind of zoom-out-zoom-in quality that Van has is really nice for Tai.
"It allows her moments to chuckle, moments to be charmed, moments to just be a teenager in love. And I don't think anyone could elicit those reactions out of Tai except for Van."
