Renegade Nell holds an impressive Rotten Tomatoes rating of 87%, landing favourably with critics.
"It's easy to get caught up in Renegade Nell: the carefully choreographed fight sequences are a delight," wrote Rebecca Cook in Digital Spy's 4-star review.
"Nell bending out of reach of bullets or pistol-whipping a troupe of highwaymen is set to a gripping choral score that conjures Pirates of the Caribbean in one scene and then Gladiator in another."
Supporting cast members include Joely Richardson as Lady Eularia Moggerhanger, Trigger Point's Adrian Lester as Robert Hennessey and Line of Duty star Craig Parkinson as Sam Trotter.
Renegade Nell season one is available to stream on Disney+.
