Allison Mack will guest star in season three of The Following.
The Smallville actress will play a small-town police officer named Hillary, reports Entertainment Weekly.
The character will get caught up in Ryan Hardy's (Kevin Bacon) hunt for a serial killer.
Mack previously appeared in Wilfred, and her appearance in The Following will reunite her with Shawn Ashmore, who guest-starred in two episodes of Smallville.
Almost Human's Michael Ealy has been cast as the main villian for season three of The Following, which will follow a different storyline than the first two outings.
The Following returns in the US on Monday, March 2 with a two-hour premiere starting at 8pm on Fox.
