Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson has got fans wondering if a reunion is on the cards.

The actor, who played Mitchell Pritchett on the sitcom between 2009 and 2020, shared an Instagram Story photo from the set, teasing fans with the caption "Haven't seen this view in a while."

Eric Stonestreet, who played Mitchell's husband Cameron Tucker, added fuel to the fire by sharing a photo of a very beardy JTF sitting in a chair outdoors, using the same "Haven't seen this view in a while" caption.

There's no word on whether a reunion is planned or not. However, actor Ed O'Neill, who played Mitchell's father Jay Pritchett, told TV Insider a week-and-a-half ago "I don't like to do that stuff" but added that he would make an exception for his Modern Family family.

"I mean, I am open to it. I like everybody involved, so I wouldn't be the guy who [says no if everyone else wants to]. I wouldn't do that," he explained.

Back in 2022, JTF said that he had seen a spin-off script for a show focusing on Cameron and Mitchell in Missouri with their children, but it was scrapped.

"There were discussions, and I think the network decided against it," he said at the time. "I think they were just wondering if maybe this is the right family to still tell the story.

"I think they were – you know, we'd been on air for 11 years, and I think they were ready to move in a different direction."

Meanwhile, Phil Dunphy actor Ty Burrell was recently announced for a new sitcom on US network ABC called Forgive and Forget. Not only will he star in it, but he will also serve as executive producer. The Modern Family production company is also on board, along with Burrell's production company Desert Whale Productions.
