Allison Janney says she considers her former West Wing co-stars to be like "family".

Janney played White House press secretary CJ Cregg in The West Wing for seven seasons opposite Martin Sheen, John Spencer and Bradley Whitford.

The actress recently told Parade that she still remains close to the cast of the NBC series.

"If there's a chance to get together, we will," she said. "I love them very much. They're my family, really."

Janney also joked about the four Primetime Emmy Awards and four SAG Awards that she won for playing CJ Cregg.

"They're in my living room above my television," she said. "I have these built-in shelves where they sit perfectly.

"It made sense to me that they should be close to the TV, since that's why I got them. And they look very beautiful up there."
