Allison Janney has reflected on her years starring in The West Wing.
Janney won four Primetime Emmy Awards for playing White House press secretary CJ Cregg in The West Wing from 1999 to 2006.
In an interview with USA Today, the actress suggested that secretary CJ Cregg had a real impact on the role of women in politics.
"Of all the characters I've played, I wish I was most like CJ," Janney commented.
She went on to say: "[CJ] was pretty substantial and a great role model for women. I feel that she inspired people to do better."
Janney reunited with her West Wing co-stars Martin Sheen, Dulé Hill, William Duffy, Joshua Malina and Melissa Fitzgerald for a PSA promoting exercise last year.
She is now starring in the CBS sitcom
