Smash star Megan Hilty has named The West Wing's Alison Janney as her dream guest star.
The actress, who plays "deeply flawed" yet "tough" character Ivy in the musical series, admitted to being "obsessed" with Janney, who she described as "the greatest person in the whole world".
Speaking to Digital Spy, Hilty revealed: "I'm starting a campaign to try and get Alison Janney on the show because I'm obsessed with her, both for her talent and as a person.
"She's like the greatest person in the whole world, so to have her on the show and have her around, that's like a win-win for everybody."
Hilty added that she is pleased with the "very positive" reaction to Smash's first season.
"I love it when people stop us on the street and they have really big opinions on characters and storylines and stuff," she said. "I love that because it means people are invested, they care."
