Tales of the Jedi spoilers follow.

The new Disney+ series Tales of the Jedi has unveiled the shocking fate of a classic Star Wars character.

As the successor to The Clone Wars, the six-part anthology series focuses on characters from the prequel trilogy era, such as Count Dooku's character before becoming a Sith Lord. A notably minor but interesting character who has also been given the spotlight is Yaddle, who captured fans' attention during The Phantom Menace for being the same species as Yoda.

And now, the final Dooku-focused episode has revealed Yaddle's unfortunate fate.

Dooku then confronted Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine), demanding that Qui-Gon Jin's death should have been avoided and that his padawan would have been a powerful ally to the Sith had he been turned.

Yaddle, who has followed Dooku in an attempt to turn her friend back to the Jedi way, then said: "Whatever lies he’s told you, whatever you have done, you can make up for it now by bringing him to justice."

But an already furious Dooku instead listened to Palpatine, who orders him to kill Yaddle. Showing no mercy, Dooku brutally slams his former Jedi ally with a metal door, despite Yaddle pleading to him that she is on his side.

Although Yaddle showed her strength by preventing the door from fully crushing her, Dooku landed the final blow with his lightsaber after Yaddle warned him: "Already, so many have suffered for what you call order."

The episode showed a grizzly ending for the mysterious but interesting character, as well as highlighting Count Dooku's ruthlessness as a Sith Lord before his death in the Revenge of the Sith.
