Loki star Tom Hiddleston is set to star in new drama The White Darkness.
The limited series, coming to Apple TV+, is based on the David Grann non-fiction book of the same name and is being developed by Pachinko boss Soo Hugh.
Hiddleston will play British explorer Henry Worsley, described as "a devoted husband and father, a former soldier, a man of deep honour and sacrifice, but also a man deeply obsessed with adventure" (via Deadline). He ends up attempting to cross the Antarctica on foot.

Hugh will act as showrunner on the project alongside Black Swan writer Mark Heyman.
This will be Hiddleston's second Apple TV+ show, following an adaptation of the Sarah Perry novel The Essex Serpent with Clare Danes which is premiering on Friday, May 13.
The seasoned actor is also preparing for season two of the Disney+ MCU series Loki. Although an exact date is yet to be announced, Kevin Feige told Collider last year that the next instalment was "already underway" and "being developed as we speak".

Earlier this year, Marvel hired Moon Knight duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead to direct "a majority" of Loki season 2, so it looks like those things are progressing behind the scenes.
Speaking about his role as the god of mischief, Hiddleston recently said: "I'm a temporary torchbearer, I've always thought that. It's a great role. It's an archetype, the trickster god, the agent of chaos."
The critically acclaimed Pachinko on Apple TV+ is an adaptation of Min Jin Lee's novel of the same name and stars Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung, Soji Arai, Jin Ha, and Eun-chae Jung.
Loki is streaming exclusively on Disney+.
