Peacemaker spoilers follow.
The record-breaking HBO Max show Peacemaker concluded its first season with the titular character, played by John Cena, showing up to save the day while the Justice League turned up late.
It might not have been the reunion you'd hoped for, what with Wonder Woman and Superman appearing only as silhouettes, but the surprise cameos were still a satisfying (and hilarious) end to the series.

Primarily featuring Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and The Flash (Ezra Miller), Peacemaker creator James Gunn has revealed that there was actually a lot more footage that was cut from the scene. And it's certainly left us eager to see it.

Speaking with Total Film, Gunn said: "I have tons of stuff I didn't use. Ezra went on – and I'm not kidding – for about 16 minutes about Aquaman having sex with fish. It was really funny."
I mean, come on. We've all questioned it at some point, right?
Although we didn't get to see the full team together again, Gunn has promised that we can expect to see some more cameos in season two. Thanks, James. Maybe Batman and Cyborg next time?

Gunn went on to say: "I think we're going to see more connections in some other stuff as we move forward with Peacemaker and other shows at HBO Max. So those [cameos] will keep coming.
"I don't know if the Justice League is going to show up in every season of Peacemaker; that might be a one-time thing. We'll see!"
Peacemaker season 1 is now streaming on HBO Max in the US, and on Sky and NOW in the UK.
