Legacies season 2 star Olivia Liang's new show is officially going ahead.

The actress, who played Alyssa Chang in The CW series, will be fronting a female-led reboot of the 1970s show Kung Fu.

Now officially green-lit by The CW for the 2020-21 season, the reimagined Kung Fu follows a Chinese-American woman called Nicky Chen, who – after taking a life-changing trip to a Chinese monastery – returns to her hometown with newfound martial arts skills.

Nicky uses her new skills to defend her community, all the while searching for the assassin who killed her Shaolin mentor and is now targeting her.
