Big Little Lies spoilers ahead.
Big Little Lies ended its season two on a rather impactful note, but things were originally meant to end rather differently – according to one of it's biggest stars.
Zoe Kravitz – member of the Monterey 5 – revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair that season two was actually supposed to conclude with yet another dramatic death, just like the death of abusive Perry (who was married to Nicole Kidman's character Celeste) at the end of the first season.
"There’s a big thing that got changed. There was someone that was supposed to die, but it wasn’t me," she teased. "But I don’t know what I’m allowed to say, so I don’t know. But someone did die."

Kravitz went on to say that she was happy with the way that the show ended, even if there wasn't a super dramatic death.
Her character, Bonnie, did end up turning herself in for murdering Perry – but for the actress the important thing was that the Monterey 5 member's journeys all came together.
"I think the way we ended the season was obviously really intriguing, but also everyone got to come together and I think that felt important to everybody," she said.
"Because I think that was one of the most powerful things about the end of season one, is these women and our stories are all quite separate, but kind of finally coming together at the end.

"So I think that was the reason we went in the direction we did."
She's also keen to be involved in Big Little Lies season three, if it happens – even though there's no evidence just yet to suggest that it will – and stressed how amazing it was to work a project that was so loved.
"I would love to do another season. I love that show. I love those people. And I love the response. I love how passionate people are about that show," she said. "It makes going to work so much better when you know that people are rooting for you and excited for the thing that you're working on."
Big Little Lies airs on HBO in the US and on Sky Atlantic in the UK, where season 1 is also available to stream via NOW TV.
