One of the more amusing things from last year's TV adaptation of Watchmen was the character Lube Man, who wore a tight, shiny silver suit and evaded the clutches of Regina King's Sister Night by sliding into the sewer.
His identity was a bit of mystery over the course of the show. It was heavily hinted that Lube Man was secretly FBI Agent Dale Petey (Dustin Ingram), and in hilariously underwhelming fashion, it was him.
We'd definitely like to see more of his slippery accents in future episodes or a future spin-off, but is that something that could actually happen, or is he just a done-and-done character?

Speaking to Digital Spy while promoting new movie The Hunt, the showrunner said: "No one wants to see more Lube Man than I do… there just needs to be an idea worthy of him suiting up and sliding into!"
It's likely if the character does return, it'll be in a spin-off form rather than a second season, since Lindelof said last month that he is not interested in making a second season.
Although he has given HBO his "blessing" to make one without him, the network's president Casey Bloys said that he can't imagine doing it without Lindelof.

Let's hope he can come up with an idea that sticks (teehee) and HBO can bring it to life.
Watchmen aired on Sky One and is available to buy now on Amazon Prime Video, or to pre-order on disc. The Hunt is in UK cinemas now and in US cinemas on March 13.
