Designated Survivor's action-packed season three trailer teases a presidential campaign, a terror attack and a boatload of White House dysfunction as the political drama moves to Netflix.
Kiefer Sutherland simply cannot get away from terror attacks, no matter the show. Unfortunately, there will be no Jack Bauer to help him track down a bio-terrorism threat during the height of his campaigning.
It's one of a number of, ermm, complications facing his re-election bid. President Kirkman also has a vice presidential running mate under criminal suspicion while Hannah (Maggie Q) gets a new assignment taking her away from his detail.
If that's not enough trouble, his new chief of staff Mars Harper (Anthony Edwards) is dealing with some serious problems at home, as we see his wife Lynn (Lauren Holly) collapsing.
Designated Survivor underwent a major creative shuffle in its move from ABC to Netflix. Previous showrunner Keith Eisner left the show, to be replaced by Under the Dome's Neal Baer.
Along with him come some other major newcomers, including Transformers star Julie White as Kirkman's campaign manager Lorraine Zimmer and Benjamin Watson as the White House's digital officer Dontae Evans.

"The story of President Kirkman and those around him has not been fully told and we look forward to working with our new partner in continuing the show for a global audience," executive producer Mark Gordon recently teased in a statement.
Designated Survivor will return to Netflix worldwide on Friday, June 7.
