Strictly Come Dancing's latest eliminated star Charles Venn was in tears on live TV after his cast mates from Casualty paid an emotional tribute to his efforts on the dance floor.

Sunday's results show saw the actor and his professional partner Karen Clifton getting the chop after several close calls in the dance-off, as the judges chose to save Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev.

Charles and Karen were back together on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show It Takes Two on Monday (December 3) with host Zoe Ball, when Zoe revealed to Charles that she had "a little message from some people who've really been missing" him to show.

It Takes Two then cut to the full cast of Casualty in the operating theatre, where Charlie Fairhead actor Derek Thompson led a cheer in celebration of their friend Charles.

"Congratulations Charles, you've done us proud," Derek told him, with the full cast joining in: "Keeeeeep dancing!"

Charles fought back tears in that moment and throughout the entire interview, as he admitted to Zoe that he was conflicted about leaving Strictly Come Dancing before the semi-finals.

"Obviously [I'm] sad. There's a sense of disappointment, but at the same time, pride," he assured Zoe. "I'm very proud. I'm very proud of the fact that Karen brought me all the way to the quarter-finals. I was a quarter-finalist, and I felt very proud to achieve that."

Seeing Charles so emotional was rough on viewers:

Strictly Come Dancing continues with the semi-finals on Saturday (December 8) at 6.35pm with the top five couples each performing twice, before one more pairing leaves during the results show on Sunday (December 9) at 7.15pm on BBC One.

This week's semi-final results show will open with a special appearance from pop superstars Little Mix performing their smash hit 'Woman Like Me'.
