After our first-look at today's (December 14) Crystal Maze Christmas special, we thought things were going a little awry for Mollie King and the rest of the team – but how wrong we were.

Because the team of celebrities taking on the Crystal Maze in aid of Stand Up to Cancer (and Christmas, obvs) absolutely bloody smashed it.

Viewers at home were understandably thrilled to see The Crystal Maze back on their screens, and pretty much everyone on social media couldn't get over how well the celebs did.

There was one thing that bothered some viewers, though, and it's all do with the special's name.

Although the Crystal Maze team had clearly gone to a lot of festive effort – the crystals were wearing Santa hats, for god's sake – some couldn't help think Channel 4 had missed a trick.

The Christal Maze, anyone?

Perhaps that's something to consider for the show's next Christmas outing. (God, we hope there's another one.)

The Crystal Maze airs on Channel 4.
