The Crystal Maze is returning for a Christmas celebrity special, all for Stand Up to Cancer.

The Channel 4 gameshow, fronted by Richard Ayoade, will be welcoming Saturdays singer Mollie King (who is, of course, currently competing in BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing) and Made in Chelsea's Ollie Locke, as well as Murder in Successville actor Tom Davis and boxer Nicola Adams.

Paralympian and gold-medallist swimmer Ellie Simmonds has been announced as the team captain.

The Christmas special will be getting a holidays touch, as the Aztec, Medieval, Industrial, and Futuristic zones will be "festooned with festive frivolity".

Jessica Hynes and Adam Buxton are also reprising their roles as The Knight and Jarhead respectively.

The episode will be broadcast sometime in December.

The Crystal Maze was revived in October 2016, with Stephen Merchant on hosting duties, for last year's Stand Up to Cancer.

Michelle Keegan, Rio Ferdinand, Sara Cox, Josh Widdecombe, and Jonnie Peacock were the celebrities who took part one year ago.

Since then, the likes of Vicky Pattison, Lydia Bright, Ore Oduba, Scarlett Moffatt, Joey Essex, Rylan Clark-Neal, and Andrea McLean have turned up for celebrity specials.

The Crystal Maze airs on Channel 4.
