Last year's X Factor runner-up Saara Aalto has discovered she has a long-lost brother after he spotted her on the talent show.
The singer, who will also represent her homeland of Finland in next year's Eurovision Song Contest, revealed that sibling Mikael came forward after noticing she shared a family likeness with him while she was featured on the ITV show.
It later emerged that Saara's dad had a one-night stand before he met Saara's mother, and her relation to Mikael was subsequently confirmed via a DNA test.
"It is crazy," she told The Sun about the discovery. "I lived in the same hometown as Mikael for 18 years but then it was being on an international TV show that brought us together.
"Everybody asks me, 'Did X Factor change your life?' And now I'm like, 'More than you know.'"
She continued to describe the revelation as an "amazing surprise", even while admitting that she was shocked at first to learn about Mikael's existence.

"One small decision, for me to get on a flight from Finland to the UK — I had no idea how that one small thing could just change my whole life forever," she added.
"It's an amazing surprise, there's nothing negative about it. I'm just super-happy to have a new person in my life.
"I think he fits into our family so well that it felt so natural."
Saara later tweeted out her thanks to The Sun for allowing her to share her story, adding: "My family's very happy to find a new member."
She also suggested that the whole story could even fuel some artistic inspiration, joking: "We've been laughing that this is the plot to a new musical — it's like a film script.
"Good inspiration for a song, too. Of course my album will be full of my own stories so I think I should write a song about this actually."
We cannot wait to see what she comes up with.
