If you're still not over This Morning's designer vagina segment or the show's sex robot guest, you'll be pleased to hear that today's instalment simply featured real-life mermaids.

Yep, today saw Holly and Phil meeting Jessica Mermaid (presumably not her birth name), Mermaid Grace (also presumably not her birth name) and Siki Red – the human people who want to be half fish.

Explaining that her love of mermaids started when she was younger, Jessica – Chairperson of the British Mermaid Community – revealed that she and Grace had completed an £800 mermaid course, where they received a diving qualification and a photoshoot.

"You get a free diving qualification, you also get a photoshoot and they teach you to swim with the tail. You get a certificate that you're officially a mermaid," she said.

They then told Holly and Phil that their tails, which are "impractical on land", cost anything from £1,700 to £2,500, and can take between 10 and 20 minutes to put on.

As mentioned earlier in this here article, This Morning has been getting a bit risqué of late, what with yesterday's episode featuring a woman having a designer vagina tightening procedure on live TV – prompting some criticism from viewers.
