It's been so far so good for Channel 4's reboot of The Crystal Maze, especially now the series has reverted back to the original format of non-celebrity contestants (for better and for worse).
And it looks like this week's episode is set to really focus on the series' nostalgia factor, bringing back a contestant who originally appeared on the show back in 1992 for another crack at the Maze, hosted by an entirely different Maze Master called Richard.
Heather first appeared on The Crystal Maze back in the show's third season in the early '90s in a team of strangers, where she was led around the zones by original host Richard O'Brien.
Back in 1992, Heather was an 18-year-old from Birmingham studying for her A-Levels, who managed to earn her team two crystals from the challenges she undertook in the Medieval and Aztec Zones.
Unfortunately, the team failed to crack the dome itself, leaving with just a commemorative crystal.
Fast forward 25 years and Heather is now an Oxfordshire-based fitness instructor, and still keen to compete for those crystals in the four zones of the maze – and this time she's joined by a team of her friends, all of whom are black belts in martial arts.
What to Read Next
Can Heather beat her first appearance and take home the big middling to a little less middling prize on offer? And what will presenter Richard Ayoade make of a group of experience martial artists?
At the very least, we should expect some good physical task performances, right?
Heather was lucky to secure a second appearance on the show as Channel 4 revealed a few months ago that over 30,000 people had applied to be on the '90s revival series.
So far this year we've also seen a host of celebrities including Vicky Pattison, Louie Spence, Ore Oduba and Alex Brooker take on the Maze, with highlights including a spat between Stacey Solomon and her boyfriend Joe Swash.
We also enjoyed seeing Joey Essex take on the Planet Walk much more than we care to admit.
The Crystal Maze airs on Fridays at 8pm on Channel 4.
